The trees here are thick, like they’re trying to keep their secrets.
The trees here are thick, like they’re trying to keep their secrets.
Cruising the A470 through Llangurig on the CB1000GT, with green trees everywhere...another day in the life of the Scripting Paddy. Mind how you go.
There's a red SUV in front of me on the A470, and I'm lining up for a bit of a pass. The trees are so lush here at Llangurig, the green is practically glowing under that grey sky. We're crawling in traffic again, just me, the wet tarmac, and that red car refusing to move.
Right at Llangurig, that silver SUV’s hanging about to turn, and I’m just trying to stay out of the way of the trees. Back on the tarmac in St. Harmon, following a car through the curves with the wind in my face. Now we’re in Nantmel, squeezed into a narrow dirt track with the trees literally brushing the tank. And here we go, into the twisties, giving it all we’ve got.
Right then, we’re rolling out of Llanwrtyd on the A483, keeping it tidy behind that white van. Back at the edge of Llanwrtyd, I’m lining up for a gentle overtake on this tree-lined stretch. We’ve drifted into Cynghordy, and the air feels a bit cooler here in Powys. Just soaking up the last bit of scenery before we call it a day.
Just me, the red gloves, and that phone mount showing off. Look at that fire station on the left with its big red door. Stone walls and hedges keep coming in around these twisties. Road’s clear and the trees are doing their best to hide the world.
Red gloves on, CB1000GT ready, and we’re rolling out of Carmarthen. Passing the big green semi-truck at St Clears is like navigating a very slow bus. Those red lane markings look fresh, but the dry grass says it’s been dry for weeks. We’ve reached Llanboidy, and the open fields just stretch out forever.
Just you and the A40, cutting through Llanddewi Velfrey on a proper bluebird day. Slowing for the Redstone Bypass junction, where that black car is definitely not in a rush. Now we’re through Narberth and into Robeston Wathen, hands on the bars in the red gloves.
Watch that truck on the right as I slip past it here at Letterston. Just dry grass and shrubs rolling by on the B4331. Winding through St Davids with nothing but that clear blue sky above. Careful at this T-junction, with that red car and white SUV waiting on the A487. …another day in the life of the Scripting Paddy. Mind how you go.
Right, starting from the gravel lot here in Llanrhian, with that red car parked up next to the dark brick building. Rolling down the Llanrhian Road through Croes-goch, passing some houses and trees under a lovely clear blue sky. We’re off the tarmac for a bit on this stretch near Croes-goch, just letting the Honda CB1000GT find its groove. Hitting the A487 now as we come into St Davids, with the digital display and mirrors doing their thing.
Straight line out of Scleddau, clear blue sky and not a soul in sight. Slowing down on Main Street as a pedestrian strolls past the building's edge. Overtaking a white van in Eglwyswrw with greenery on both sides. …another day in the life of the Scripting Paddy. Mind how you go.
Right then, kicking off at Eglwyswrw with just me, the dunes, and that clear blue sky. Just a white van keeping pace as I navigate the A487 through town. Look at those dry fields stretching out, with the farm structures sitting right in the distance. Now we're hitting the straight stretch at Aberporth, with just a solitary car up ahead.
Dry grass and blue skies on the A487 through Llanarth, and this CB1000GT is purring like a kitten. Taking a breather on Wellington Street in Aberaeron to dig a grey bag out of the trunk. The sea is right there on the left, and I'm keeping my distance from that truck ahead. Chasing that same white van through Llanrhystud under a greyer sky as the day winds down.
Right, dodging the white taxi at Llanrhystud on the A487. Just cruising through the green fields at Llanfarian. Now we're in Llanbadarn Fawr on the A44, passing brick houses. It's quiet on the tree-lined road at Goginan.
Just me and the trees on the A44 through Blaenrheidol. There they go, out into the open fields. The hills are doing their best with that overcast sky. Watch the Stepside Agri truck come past on the left.
